We aim to
Build Confidence in Girls
At YWCA Mankato, we believe that confidence is the cornerstone of learning, dreaming, and achieving. Our mission is to build a foundation of self-assurance in girls and gender-expansive youth, starting from birth and extending through adolescence. We recognize the importance of empowering young minds with the tools they need to flourish.
We are committed to creating a strong pipeline of community resources dedicated to supporting and uplifting girls and gender-expansive youth at every stage of their journey. By forging partnerships and collaborations, we aim to provide a network of opportunities that foster growth, resilience, and empowerment.
Our focus extends beyond traditional boundaries, addressing the holistic development of youth. We strive to strengthen the social, emotional, and physical well-being components of our existing programming. Through engaging activities and supportive environments, we guide girls to navigate life with confidence and resilience.
One of our core values is celebrating diversity. We understand the significance of helping girls feel proud of and embrace their home language, heritage, background, and lived experiences. By nurturing a sense of belonging and inclusivity, we encourage young people to explore and appreciate the richness of their identities.
