Advocacy and Community
YWCA Mankato’s Advocacy and Community Programs unite a coalition of individuals in our communities who are dedicated to advancing racial and gender justice through collective action.
Together, we will harness our collective voices to engage with elected officials at every level of government, promoting a policymaking process that centers peace, justice, and equity for all.
The Young Women’s Initiative of Minnesota Greater Mankato Cabinet comprises of young women and gender expansive youth ages 16-24 and aims to create connections and partnerships, build leadership skills and opportunities, train in policy making, develop strong advocacy skills, and build collective power to make social change.
YWCA Mankato is a proud part of the Lead the Vote Non-Profit Election Engagement Consortium is engaging Mankato area non-profits in civic and voter engagement. In the Mankato area, non-profits are leading the way in building a community where all of us are healthy and safe.
Our Future Starts at Home is fighting to make sure our families and future generations of Minnesotans can live and thrive here. A constitutional amendment will make stable housing affordable by dedicating sustainable funding for housing. We are proud to endorse the Minnesota constitutional amendment for housing.
