For the first time since YWCA Mankato’s Women’s Leadership Conference inception, the organization proudly presents "Build the Movement," an art exhibition that celebrates creativity, empowerment, and the collective journey towards equality.
This exhibit promises to be a vibrant expression of the 2024 Women’s Leadership Conference's mission, echoing YWCA USA CEO Margaret Mitchell’s powerful call to action: "Now, more than ever, we need every voice raised and every person engaged to build the movement that will finally deliver on the promise of equality for all."
Through a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, Build the Movement invites artists from diverse backgrounds to explore themes of social justice, community, and resilience. Submission date closes September 30th. Artists will be notified by Friday, October 4th.
Build the Movement will be on display at the CSU Gallery at Minnesota State University, Mankato with the opening reception on October 24, 2024 at 6:00 pm, throughout the conference on October 25, and closes on November 8th.
